Job description

We are looking for a talented and keen intern to join our FPGA team working on cutting edge technologies and designs - from prototype to production. This is a flexible role that can be worked anywhere between 2-5 days per week.

Your role

  • Design Blocks using VHDL
  • Work collaboratively with other teams
  • Write or modify hardware tests written Python
  • Architect FPGA blocks for low latency solutions
  • Work closely with the Software Team to debug designs on hardware
  • Write HDL based test benches and verify them using vendor specific simulators
  • Achieve timing closure using HDL design techniques / FPGA tool options and timing constraints

Your experience

  • Experience with Python
  • Detail oriented communication and documentation skills
  • Some HDL knowledge (VHDL or Verilog), self taught is fine
  • Self-managed and committed to working in a fast-paced environment
  • Undertaking a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering graduating 2018
  • Great EE fundamentals ; awareness of digital logic, metastability, microprocessor architecture
  • Experience with Xilinx Vivado and/or Altera Quartus FPGA design tools (not essential)
  • Experience with C and Makefile knowledge (not essential)
