Ribit is a jobs matching platform for students and businesses from CSIRO’s Data61. Ribit connects entrepreneurial students with STEM and digital skills to startups and innovative businesses - for casual or part-time roles, projects and internships.
Startups and small businesses make up the the majority of small businesses in Australia. Ribit focuses on areas of skills shortages experienced by many startups and small businesses. By matching these to skills which many students already have or can easily learn, it creates an easy access pipeline for businesses to try new talent - something to help both sides in the context of a rapidly changing economy and future of work.
Ribit has developed a one hour interactive workshop that addresses the key things startup founders and business owners need to know about hiring the next generation of students. Evidence shows hiring students can help stimulate business growth and success.
