ABOUT THE EVENT

We‘re excited to be partnering with ACT Government, Canberra Innovation Network (CBRIN) and AustCyber (Australian Cyber Security Growth Network) in the defence, cyber security and space industry sectors. This event will connect students from universities and TAFE in Canberra to roles with primes, innovative companies, startups and government agencies. This is a unique opportunity for students to find work opportunities and meet industry leaders and founders in these exciting sectors.

  • Please note that this is not a confirmation of your attendance.
  • To be eligible to attend, you must receive email confirmation from Ribit that you have been shortlisted.
  • The Ribit platform matches students based on the roles on offer by employers participating in the event. This includes skills, role descriptions and, in some cases, visa restrictions. The platform will take into account how complete and relevant your profile information is when matching.
  • A week prior to the event, Ribit will advise all successful and unsuccessful candidates by email.
  • Remember - Ribit is a matching algorithm - so improve your chances by completing your profile.

  • Ribit sources and matches students to attend the event based on the skills and attributes you need.
  • You’ll have the chance to formally interview a dozen or more students in a curated 70-minute speed networking session, and also meet more students informally afterwards if you wish.
  • We generally approve between 80 and 100 students to attend our events to optimise the chance of a match.
  • Students are from universities and TAFEs - at undergrad and postgrad levels.
  • On average, half the employers participating find suitable students to offer roles to.

COST

This is a free event for students and employers. However, all students need to register and fill out a profile. All employers need to provide a job description.
